Louis Fauchère, c. 1850 (Italianate) This villa was exquisitely renovated in 2006. Built by Louis Fauchère, former chef of Delmonico’s Restaurant in New York City, it is individually listed on the National Register. The hotel was host to presidents, politicians, artists, and many other prominent guests. Typically, this style has a flat roof and is topped with a square cupola. Wide overhanging eaves are supported by small single brackets.
